PawPals is made for the furry community. It's a place for individual furries, artists, commissioners, content creators, fursuit makers, small businesses, and anyone else who is part of or adjacent to the fandom.

Yes. Creating a profile and listing your links is free.

No. The directory and public profiles are visible to anyone. Some profiles choose to restrict visibility to logged-in members. In those cases, you'll be prompted to log in.

There are two profile types: Personal and Business. Personal profiles are for individual furries and their fursonas. Business profiles are for artists, shops, studios, or any commercial presence in the fandom.

Yes. You can have multiple personal profiles if you have multiple identities or personas. You can also create additional business profiles. This is useful if you run a commission studio, sell fursuits, or operate more than one brand.

Your profile can include a display name, avatar, header image, bio, social links, tags, a gallery, and full appearance customization (accent color, button style, and light/dark/system theme). Business profiles also support a business name, tagline, commission status, and website.

You can add links to any platform: Bluesky, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Twitch, Discord, Telegram, FurAffinity, SoFurry, Weasyl, Toyhou.se, and more. You can also add a custom URL for anything not in the predefined list.

Commission status lets artists and creators indicate whether they're currently accepting commissions: Open, Closed, or Waitlist. It's shown as a badge on your profile and in directory listings.

Tags are predefined labels that describe your interests, species, skills, or content. Adding tags to your profile makes it easier for other members to find you in the directory and search.

By default, your profile is public and visible to anyone. You can change your profile visibility to Members only (logged-in users only) or Hidden (not listed in the directory, but your URL still works). You can also hide individual sections (bio, links, tags, and gallery) separately.

Yes. Setting visibility to Hidden removes your profile from directory listings and search results, but your profile URL remains accessible to anyone who has it.

On any public profile page, look for the report button. Describe the issue and submit. A moderator will review it. You need to be logged in to submit a report.

Reports go to the moderation queue and are reviewed by the PawPals team. You may not receive a direct reply, but all reports are read and acted on when warranted.

Zero tolerance. PawPals is built to be a safe space for the fandom, and that includes supporting marginalized identities. Harassment, hate speech, and discrimination will result in removal from the platform. You can learn more at the Code of Conduct page.

We do not allow AI generated artworks on PawPals. This includes profile avatars, header images, and gallery images. We will do our best to moderate this. This is a controversial topic in the fandom, and we understand that some people may disagree with this policy. We ask that you respect our decision and the community guidelines. The goal here is to promote artists and creators!

PawPals is committed to supporting queer and marginalized communities. We will do our best to resist censorship and support our users. We will not comply with any government requests to remove content or users based on their identity or expression. We will also do our best to protect our users' data and privacy.

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may collect data for the purpose of improving our services and ensuring a safe environment for all users. We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes. You can find more information in our Privacy Policy.

Go to Account Settings from the navigation dropdown. You'll find a password change form there.

In Account Settings, scroll to the account deletion section at the bottom. You'll be asked to confirm your password before your account and all associated profiles are permanently removed.

PawPals was built by BowieBarks, a furry web developer and artist. BowieBarks has been active in the fandom for over two decades. You can find more about BowieBarks on their profile.

Generative AI was not used in the production of any visual assets for PawPals. It was used for some of the production of code, in places like autocompletions and a code graph to help manage locations of code. For many furries, that would be a complete non-starter and I understand that. Anything creative or involving decision making was done by ~~humans~~ dogs.
